Scope of the Workshop:

The idea is to collect the opinion of our community on what should be the research agenda in future. The outcome will be informed to the relevant European Technology Platforms (in particular construction and safety), who have to come up with a detailed agenda by September 2005.

The subjects are open but we prefer:

  • Monitoring and Assessment
  • Life Cycle Management
  • Structural Control
  • Natural Hazards in general and detail
  • Disaster Mitigation
  • related Subjects

This item includes technical as well as organisational or strategic items. Please feel free to tell us your opinion. A collection will be organised for handover to the ETPs. The result will also be presented at our summer academy in September this year.

In order to make a final program we would like to ask you to give us a title of your presentation as soon as possible. Of course everyone is invited to join the discussion.

Further subjects will be:

  • Possibilities for the establishment of the SAMCO results and examples in ISO and CEN.
  • National Platforms for Research in Civil Engineering.
